Dear parents/caregiver,

As you are aware, schools are working hard to minimise the risk of exposure for our students and staff to COVID –

19 (Coronavirus). This is what has led to the cancellation of Open Night. To support this risk minimisation further we will be taking the following actions:

  • Visitors to our site will be restricted to essential services only, such as the delivery of goods and contractors for

the maintenance and repair of our facilities. This means that access to the site by external providers such as

Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, etc. will be suspended for the foreseeable future.

  • Parents/caregivers are requested to not come on site, unless specifically invited to. Contact with the school should be via phone calls, the text messaging service and email.
  • Excursions and Camps in general will be cancelled or postponed. Exceptions may be made for some excursions after a full risk assessment indicates a low risk of potential exposure.
  • Large assemblies have been cancelled.
  • There will be no home visits conducted by staff.
  • Required meetings between the school and families, such as re-entry meetings, will be conducted by phone.
  • The continued education of students and staff on the best advice hygiene practices including hand washing, covering of the mouth and nose with ones elbow or a tissue when coughing or sneezing  and limiting drink fountain use to the re-filling of drink bottles.
  • Staff will not attend off-site meetings unless direct to by the department.

To assist the school to manage this unprecedented health epidemic, we ask that parents/caregivers contact Student Service if they have changed their personal contact details (phone number/s and email address/es) since the start of the school year. Updated information regarding emergency contacts is also required. If we are directed to close the school, we will contact you via our text messaging service on Daymap.

I remind parents/caregivers that if your child is unwell with a respiratory illness, it is important that they remain at home. If they present at school unwell, parents/caregivers will be contacted and asked to collect their child.

Our uniform supplier, Hambours, will close their front counter as of 19th  March 2020 for the foreseeable future. Orders can be placed by phone on 8447 2077 or via their online stores. Items can be collected via their click and collect service at the Royal Park store. Please see our website for a recent letter from Hambours.
