Special SOCCER Program Starting at LeFevre High in 2016

Dear Principals and Year 6/7 Students

Over many years Le Fevre High School has offered a specialist Rugby League course. Based on our consultation with primary and secondary age students and their parents, a number of Primary Principals, our staff and Governing Council and community members we have decided to phase out this program from 2016. We thought it important to pass this information to our local Primary School communities no was it is a variation from the prospectus distributed at the time of our Open Night in March2015.

Instead we will commence the offering of a special SOCCER program in association with the FFSA and local Soccer clubs initially for years 8 and 9 students in 2016.

This is a fantastic opportunity for both female and male students who have a passion for Soccer or who may have a budding interest in this area.

It is expected that students who choose this option will be committing to this high level program across Years 8-11; however, there will be various exit points at each year level. In order to remain a member of the program students will need to demonstrate their willingness to succeed, both academically and practically, in anongoing way.

An expression of interest form with more details will accompany enrolment documents sent out to all enrolling students once the allocation of year 7 students is made to High Schools later in the year.

For further information please do not hesitate to contact myself, or Liam Narcys here at LeFevre High School.

Kind regards,

Rob Shepherd
