The Maritime High School of South Australia program is hosted at Le Fevre High School in this state, and serves the Secondary Schools of Western Metropolitan Adelaide and was established at the commencement of the 2011 school year following an announcement by Premier Mike Rann in March 2010.

The key components of the program are outlined in the documents below. This is an exciting venture offering a range of study pathways articulating to the plethora of employment in the various components of Maritime Industries

Le Fevre High School has many opportunities ranging from:

Certificate 2  in Maritime Operations delivered by the ‘Australian Maritime and Fisheries Academy’ (AMFA) at Port Adelaide.
Description—4 one week blocks during the year concluding with a voyage on the sailing vessel ‘One  and All’. This course works towards a ‘Coxswain’s Qualification’.

VET Maritime Engineering at Le Fevre High School in the new Trade Training Centre. Certificate Courses in Engineering leading to apprenticeships.

The Maritime School works closely with the ‘Australia Maritime College’ (AMC). Students can apply to visit AMC in Tasmania each year to discover the range of pathways offered in Engineering Logistics and Seafaring.

Maritime STEM (Science Technology Engineering Maths) courses at a the Maritime School. Year 10, 11 and 12 courses for students around naval architecture and engineering. Students study a range of maritime topics whilst designing and building model boats.
