Course Planning Information
KEY DATES: Term 3
Course Confirmation Day for 2024 Year 12s Monday 28th August
Course Confirmation Day for 2024 Year 11s Tuesday 29th August.
Please note these days will be a normal school day, students will just come out of lesson to meet with a member of the Course Counselling team to finalise course choices for 2024.
For 2024 Year 8s, 9s and 10s Course Confirmation will occur through Pastoral Care time in consultation with Parents/Caregivers.
HOW TO SELECT A COURSE
In selecting their course, students should consider the following steps:

Ambitions – your future, career plans, your education
Capabilities and interests
Your achievements at school so far
Information available to you (from teachers, parents, school counsellors etc.) about you
UNDERSTAND:
The courses available
Organisation of the school curriculum – choices, pattern etc.
The line structure and the availability of courses
Where courses lead to in the future
SACE requirements
READ:
What courses are available
The subject descriptions
Where subjects lead to in later years
COMPLETE:
Your subject selection planning form
Work with your parents, care group teachers, course counselling team members in making your course choices
